1. Kick of Smart SVN. Go to menu, select Project and then first option “Checkout …”
2. The next screen will ask for where the repository is located. Leave the default path as is, which is svn://localhost. Click next. This will show you all your repositories. Will look like this
3. Navigate to the folder (project) that you want to checkout. It should look like this.
Select Test3 as in my case. Make sure you select the “Test3” folder not the “trunk” folder. Next there will be a confirmation dialog. Select yes.

4. The next screen asks where do you want the files to be checked out. In my case a default location is already filled
/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/test3
Note: test3 folder does not exists and needs to be created. Create this folder in a separate Finder window as this may need special privilege (it will ask for logged in user password).
5. Next screen ask weather you want to checkout a working copy or to export only. Make sure you select Working Copy. Also select “Add new project” which is selected by default.

At this point you have checkoutout your project. You should see all you files if you had check in any in the previous steps.
